How to check the motor of your Autodoor
Step 1 - Ensure the fail-safe release mechanism screws on the front of the Autodoor are tight, using the two screws on the front of the Autodoor
Use a cross head screwdriver to tighten the screws on the front of the door. You may need to wiggle the door left and right so the gear and the rack sit together well. These screws need to be tightened to the point of resistance but no further. Over tightening may damage the motor and stop the door from running smoothly.

Step 2 - Try pushing/sliding the door inside the frame
You should not be able to move the door side to side easily. Can you push the door side to side within the frame with very little to no resistance? If you can do this, there might be an issue with the motor of your Autodoor.
Step 3 - Remove the Autodoor from the frame
You will need to take the Autodoor off your coop.

Step 4 - Check the gear of the motor
The gear should not spin freely. Does the gear spin freely on the motor?

Step 5 - Check if the motor looks warped
