How can I fix the "door fault" error on my Omlet automatic door?
A "Door Fault" error message usually indicates that the motor has been running for twice the amount of time it takes to open or close the door. Possible reasons for this are either a broken gearbox/motor or the Gear is slipping on the rack / the rack is not screwed down correctly.
To troubleshoot this, we would advise ensuring that the two failsafe screws on the front of the door are tightened (additionally, these could be OVER tightened, preventing the door from moving). The screws should be tightened to the point of resistance and not much further with the handles not able to be pulled out.
If the issue still persists, can you move the door side to side, by hand, with very little to no resistance? With the door removed, can the cog on the motor shaft be freely spun?
If either of those is true, you may likely need a new motor. Please get in touch with our customer service team via email at info@omlet.co.uk who will be happy to advise you further.
